Find a certified water testing lab

Testing well water or drinking water? Find labs that are certified by your state for the test you need, from official state records.

Data from official state certification recordsEvery lab comes from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Laboratory Accreditation Program, with a link to the source.
Last checked 2026-11-02Each listing shows the date we last checked it against the state records.
Independent and freeWe don't sell rankings. Labs can't pay to be listed or to move up.

How we verify

  1. We download each state's official list of accredited laboratories.
  2. We record each lab's certified tests (official analyte and method names) from the state's accreditation records and group them into plain categories like bacteria, nitrate, lead and PFAS.
  3. We show the source and the last-checked date on every page, and recheck regularly. When a state record doesn't list tests for a lab, we say so instead of guessing.

Accreditation changes. Before you send a sample, call the lab to confirm it's certified for your test and ask about sample bottles and holding times.
